Customer:
Shree Annapurna Spice Industries
Project Category:
Spice Processing Unit
Customer Requirement:
The client required a high-capacity commercial solar drying solution to process different varieties of spices throughout the year without compromising quality. They wanted to eliminate problems caused by open-sun drying, including dust contamination, uneven drying, weather dependency, and long processing times. Their objective was to increase production capacity, maintain food safety standards, reduce operating costs, and produce export-quality dried spices with consistent moisture content.
Project Result:
The newly installed commercial solar drying system significantly reduced drying time while improving product consistency and hygiene. The client achieved better retention of natural color, aroma, and essential oils, resulting in premium-quality spices with extended shelf life. Production efficiency increased substantially, post-harvest losses were minimized, and operating expenses decreased due to reduced energy consumption. The improved product quality enabled the client to strengthen relationships with distributors and expand sales into higher-value domestic and commercial markets.
What we did:
Rudra Solar Energy designed, manufactured, supplied, and installed a customized commercial solar drying system based on the client's production requirements. The solution featured a durable food-grade aluminium drying chamber with optimized airflow and controlled heat circulation to achieve uniform moisture removal across multiple spice varieties. Our team completed site planning, installation, performance testing, operator training, and commissioning, ensuring seamless integration into the client's existing processing workflow and reliable long-term operation.
