Solar Drying of Herbs

Rudra Solar Energy successfully designed and delivered a Solar Drying System for Herbs to provide a hygienic, energy-efficient, and sustainable drying solution for medicinal and aromatic herbs. The project was developed to preserve the natural color, aroma, essential oils, medicinal properties, and nutritional value of herbs through advanced solar drying technology. The solar herb drying system ensures controlled temperature and uniform airflow, allowing gentle moisture removal while protecting herbs from dust, insects, rain, and external contamination. It is ideal for drying tulsi, mint, moringa, lemongrass, coriander leaves, curry leaves, neem leaves, basil, medicinal herbs, and other aromatic plants for commercial processing. This eco-friendly solar drying solution enables herbal farms, Ayurvedic manufacturers, food processing industries, FPOs, and agro-processing units to reduce post-harvest losses, improve product quality, extend shelf life, and produce premium-quality dried herbs for domestic and export markets.
