Project Description

Rudra Solar Energy successfully completed a Commercial Solar Dryer for Millets & Grains project in Maharashtra, delivering an advanced solar drying solution for hygienic and energy-efficient processing of cereal crops and millets. The system was designed to dry Jowar, Bajra, Ragi, Foxtail Millet, Little Millet, Barnyard Millet, Wheat, Rice, Maize, Pulses, and other grains while preserving their nutritional value, protein content, fiber, grain quality, and storage life. The commercial solar drying system utilizes renewable solar energy, food-grade stainless steel construction, optimized airflow, and controlled drying temperatures to achieve uniform moisture reduction without compromising grain quality. This solution helps farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), grain processors, seed producers, cooperatives, and food industries across Maharashtra reduce post-harvest losses, improve storage stability, and increase the commercial value of agricultural produce.
