Solar Drying Of Vegetables

Rudra Solar Energy successfully developed and delivered a Solar Drying System for Vegetables to provide an efficient, hygienic, and eco-friendly solution for commercial vegetable drying. The project was designed to reduce post-harvest losses while preserving the natural color, texture, flavor, and nutritional value of fresh vegetables through controlled solar drying technology. The solar vegetable drying system ensures uniform airflow and optimum drying temperatures, protecting vegetables from dust, insects, rain, moisture, and external contamination. It is suitable for drying onion, tomato, potato, carrot, beetroot, cabbage, green peas, garlic, ginger, leafy vegetables, and various seasonal vegetables for food processing applications. This renewable energy-based drying solution helps farmers, vegetable processors, FPOs, food industries, and agro-processing units improve product quality, extend shelf life, reduce operating costs, and produce high-quality dehydrated vegetables for domestic and export markets.
