Project Description
Rudra Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. successfully delivered a Commercial Solar Drying Solution for a seafood processing enterprise in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The project was developed to improve hygienic drying of fish, shrimp, prawns, squid, coconut, copra, chilli, spices, medicinal herbs, vegetables, fruits, and other agricultural and marine products while replacing conventional open sun drying methods. The client required a reliable commercial solar drying system capable of producing premium-quality dried seafood that meets modern hygiene standards and commercial food processing requirements. Traditional drying practices exposed seafood to dust, insects, birds, moisture, coastal humidity, and sudden weather changes, resulting in inconsistent drying, quality deterioration, reduced shelf life, and lower market value. Rudra Solar Energy designed and installed a customized Commercial Solar Drying Solution featuring optimized airflow, enclosed drying chambers, controlled drying conditions, and energy-efficient solar thermal technology. The system ensures faster, cleaner, and more uniform drying while preserving the natural texture, flavour, colour, nutritional value, and overall quality of seafood and other processed products. The project supports fisheries cooperatives, seafood processing industries, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), MSMEs, exporters, coastal entrepreneurs, food processing companies, SHGs, startups, NGOs, and government-supported value-addition initiatives looking to improve commercial processing through sustainable solar drying technology.
