Project Description
Rudra Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. successfully delivered a Commercial Solar Drying Solution for a vegetable processing enterprise in Chandigarh. The project was developed to improve hygienic drying of vegetables, onions, garlic, ginger, chillies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, mushrooms, medicinal herbs, leafy vegetables, fruits, spices, and other agricultural produce while eliminating the limitations of traditional open sun drying. The client required a reliable commercial drying solution capable of producing consistent, premium-quality dehydrated vegetables suitable for food processing industries, institutional buyers, retail packaging, and commercial distribution. Conventional drying methods resulted in uneven moisture removal, contamination from dust and insects, unexpected weather interruptions, and reduced product quality, ultimately affecting profitability and shelf life. Rudra Solar Energy designed, manufactured, and installed a customized Commercial Solar Drying Solution engineered specifically for high-volume vegetable processing applications. The enclosed drying system features optimized airflow, controlled drying conditions, uniform heat distribution, and energy-efficient solar thermal technology, enabling faster drying while preserving the natural colour, texture, flavour, and nutritional value of processed vegetables. The project supports vegetable growers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), food processing industries, MSMEs, agricultural startups, institutional kitchens, exporters, cooperatives, hotels, restaurants, NGOs, and government-supported value-addition initiatives looking to reduce post-harvest losses through sustainable commercial solar drying technology.
